HeadsUp San Rafael Public Education Foundation is a collaboration of parents, teachers, community members and school administrators committed to helping provide the best possible education for the 7,000 students in San Rafael’s elementary K-8 and high school districts. HeadsUp currently contributes to helping make vital district-wide enrichment programs available to every child in our twelve schools. Though the state economy is improving after years of devastating budget cuts, like most California districts, San Rafael City Schools cannot provide the level of enrichment and corollary support services that the best prepared 21st century students require. HeadsUp is committed to raising the additional funds necessary to ensure the quality education our 7,000 San Rafael students deserve.
Investing in our children’s education is one of the most important investments for the future you can make — as a parent, as a community member, as a business. HeadsUp's mission is to enhance the quality of education in our public schools by funding vital programs and services for all children, kindergarten through high school.
Summerfest, Run for Reading and Shop Local For Schools are just a few of the ways HeadsUp raises money for our entire district. For more information, visit their web site at www.headsupsr.org.
Fall 2020 Virtual Enrichment
HeadsUp, with support from Coleman Elementary School PTO, Glenwood Elementary (GSF) and Sun Valley School PTO, is thrilled to announce a new, expanded arts-and-wellness enrichment program that will be incorporated into each child’s virtual school day! Starting, Tuesday September 8 with Music, PE and Yoga! The week of September 14 Art and Dance will be added to the schedule. More information and FAQ available on our elementary enrichment website! https://sites.google.com/srcs.org/elementary-enrichment/home
These arts and activity sessions fit into the Enrichment block scheduled at the end of every school day. But they are asynchronous (pre-recorded), so they can fit into whatever time works best for your child and your family. (Music with breakfast? Yoga before bed?) Students will have opportunities to share their projects with classmates and teachers in the live classroom portion of their day. And HeadsUp will be creating hashtags on its social media where parents can choose to post kids’ work for an even larger audience.
